How we handle personal information

In today's advanced information society, information is becoming increasingly important, especially personally identifiable information (“personal information”), which is important not only to our employees but also to our customers and must be handled appropriately.
We believe that it is our social responsibility to use and protect such personal information appropriately. For this reason, we have established and adhere to a “Personal Information Protection Policy” to ensure that personal information is handled appropriately.

Personal information in our possession

Personal information is information about an individual, including name, address, age, gender, e-mail address, photograph, and other information that can identify an individual (including information that cannot identify an individual by itself but can be easily matched with other information to identify an individual).
Personal information handled by us includes the following types of information

Basic Principles for Handling Personal Information

Our four basic principles for handling personal information are as follows.

The purposes of using personal information handled by the Company are as follows.
  • To deliver our products to the customer's home or place of request
  • To provide customers with information on our products
  • To answer inquiries and questions from customers
  • To ask for your opinions and wishes regarding our products
  • To exercise rights, fulfill obligations to our shareholders by laws and regulations, and provide various benefits to our shareholders.
  • For shareholder management, we prepare data on shareholders according to the prescribed standards under various laws and regulations, etc.
  • For the recruitment procedures, such as internal selection and communication of results in recruitment activities.

(ii) Non-disclosure and non-provision of customers' personal information to third parties

Basically, we will not disclose or provide personal information provided by customers to third parties, except in the following cases.
  • When the customer consents to the use of his/her personal information.
  • When outsourcing work to an outside contractor with whom we have concluded a nondisclosure agreement in advance.
  • When disclosure of personal information is required by legal order, etc.
  • In the event of succession of business due to merger, company split, business transfer, or other reasons.

(iii) Strict and proper management of customers' personal information

Your personal information will be managed appropriately and carefully. We also implement security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of personal information.

(iv) Disclosure, correction, etc. of customer information to the person in question

We will respond to requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or elimination (from now on referred to as “disclosure, etc.”) of customers' personal information held by us, by the customer themself, or their representative.
